Have been MIA for a veryyyy long time but yay I am back.
Exams are over :D :D
Went with the peeps to JP to celebrate the end of exams by binge-ing Swensens baked rice and frosted chocolate malt ice cream. Yum. And went home to rewatch one of the best movies of all-time..TRANSFORMERS :D <3
Went to New York New York for dinner yesterday and marathoned HB and dramas before that at my crib with Jessie and Shalini :D
Ahh I am gonna miss HB..a short 12 episodes but one really worth it..and one full of entertainment and laughter <3

And I need to catch up on TVD..haven't watched the most recent two episodes. And did I mention that Damon and Elena had a hotttt smooch in last week's episode?? Hehe. Please don't kill Klaus or Tyler..ever <3

And adding to that is a long list of dramas that I wanna watch. True Blood, Dexter, Supernatural, Gossip Girl, Grey's, Sherlock, Misfits, Skins, Doctor Who, Merlin, Fringe, Castle...and the list never ends. Lol. And oh yeah..I wanna rewatch the beginning seasons of One Tree Hill and Prison Break. Feeling nostalgic and well..what better way to watch some old secondary school era dramas??

Aimlessly trying to create a new playlist now. And well..I kinda keep procrastinating by youtube-ing and tumblr-ing. My playlist feels sooo outdated :( To think I haven't updated it in like 2 months? Haix..studying for exams were the excuse all the while but oh wells, at least now I don't have that excuse and I can do whatever I want. I am a free bird <3 Till August <3 And some weeks in between cause of camp commitments. Gotta make the best of this holidays and not completely waste it. Yes, I do plan to rot at home for a few weeks but I also wanna find for an internship (hoping to embellish my CV) and read <3 Yes, I do read. I might not be a bookworm but I do have a list of books that I have been intending to read for awhile. And also..EXERCISE.

Oh wells anyway..shall go and watch a bit of drama now <3

Victoria Concordia Crescit,

Congrats to Real Madrid for winning the La Liga title and finally ending Barca's 'domination' in the league. Well they were supposed to be one of the most decorated football teams in the world and one that has a special brand name as well. Glad that they managed to reclaim the title. Iker Casillas, te amo <3

On  a brighter note,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CESC FABREGAS <3 <3 <3
You will always be my Cescy <3 Te amo siempre and Gooners still love you no matter what. Do your best and be the best for Barca <3 Though you kinda have to lose to Arsenal if you ever play against us. Hehe. Regardless, love you mucho. Mi numero uno..siempre <3

Chelsea 3-5 Arsenal :D
Owned them at their home soil..at Stamford Bridge..I am really on cloud nine :D
Frank Lampard but Chelski ahead after 13 mins..RVP equalised..John Terry scored, putting Chelski just before half time. In the second half, Andre Santos and Theo Walcott score for Arsenal to make it 3-2. Juan Mata scored during the last 10 mins to make it 3-3. Captain Vantastic than came to the rescue and scored 2 goals within the last 5 mins to not only win the game for Arsenal but also scored a hat trick against Chelski at THEIR HOME GROUND.
Awesome much?
It was an amazing match. Absolute thriller. I found myself biting my nails for most of the time. Bleh. But it was all worth it. Next, its against Marseille later tonight/tmr early morning.

Had the freaking Computing test today. I feel like stupid piece of shit. Seriously.
20 days left to the semester exams..and I promise, no more PLL or any American dramas..no more unnecessary youtubing and facebooking..
I have to mug my ass off.
Computing...will be the death of me. I hate it. Why won't they allow me to S/U it? :((((
I feel very stupid.

Okay. Gotta go now.
Architecture in Helsinki is amazing :D

Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benayoun, Per Mertesacker, CY Park, Andre Santos.

Woah..Transfer Deadline Day was CRAZY. I wouldn't have thought that Arsenal would actually purchase Arteta and Mertesacker. But I am glad they did. Santos will be a good Clichy replacement at Left Back..how good..only time will tell and the way he adapts to the English game as well. As for Mertesacker, he is freaking good. I have watched him play for Germany and he is really talented. So no complaints about that one..except that his height would probably intimidate his teammates and that would be kinda ironic cause he is taking the Number 4 jersey..and Cesc wasn't exactly tall as well. Oh well. Cesc will always be an Arsenal hero <3
Anyway..the Arteta deal seemed to be off a few hours before the 11pm deadline. But after Arteta pushed for a transfer, terms were agreed with Everton and the Spaniard became a Gunner. And Benayoun arrives on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

I think it has been quite a good day..and a rather peculiar one for Arsenal. I mean..Wenger doesn't sign Arteta-ish players..it jus didn't seem him to do so. But anyway I am glad he did. Even after bringing in reinforcements in defence, there was a big hole left in midfield with the departures of Samir Nasri and Cesc. So..I am glad he brought in Arteta..I mean, I rate him highly and he could be great for Arsenal provided he prevents long injury spells. And for Benayoun..he is a versatile player and he will add considerable amount of depth to the squad. So..overall happy :D Though if Arsenal had started splashing the cash a little earlier, they might have sealed deals for Eden Hazard or Gotze..but I guess it was also highly unlikely that they would move from their respective clubs given their tender age of 20 and 19 (YES HE IS MY AGE) respectively. Perhaps they want the safety net of their current club and learn their trade properly before moving? Hazard looks like a real deal. Hopefully, Arsenal can secure a deal for him in the future when he is ready to leave Lille.

So anyway, when Gooners look at their squad today, at least they can smile a little bit rather than live in fear of what might happen every single match even if they might be up against mediocre, winnable sides. At least the squad's depth has increased and Arsenal wouldn't have to rely too much on the likes of Frimpong and Jenkinson to finish the job..I mean they are youngsters who should be learning..they can't be thrown out there and be expected to perform incredibly with minimal experience!!

So there it is:
Chezzer
Sagna - Vermaelen - Mertesacker - Santos
Wilshere - Song - Arteta
Walcott - RVP (c) - Gervinho
Looks a lot more promising than the team that played against ManU. Cause that team was jus..really amateurish and lacked A LOT of experience. And with the likes of Arshavin and Ramsey in the team as well, there is room for rotation :D
So yay..finally hope!
I read in an Arsenal blog which quoted Dark Knight,'the night is darkest just before dawn.' Well..I hope the night part has passed. We have had to endure a really stressful summer where the squad's dynamics changed considerably. And the current team looks slightly different compared to the Arsenal team for the past few years. No, I am not gonna say Arsenal can now win the title or the Champs League. I guess with this team Top 4 would be a considerable achievement. But how well they will perform together..only time will tell. And I really hope they will do well. Gooners have had to endure a pretty rough patch as Arsenal fans. And if anything, I think it has only made us realise how much this club means to us and it has somehow brought us together. Don't ask me to explain how..it's jus a feeling.

WE LOVE YOU ARSENAL, WE DO.
WE LOVE YOU ARSENAL, WE DO.
WE LOVE YOU ARSENAL, WE DO.
ARSENAL, WE LOVE YOU.

The season starts at Swansea. For now, its international break and I hope no one comes back with bad injuries. And I hope Wilshere returns to match fitness ASAP. <3

Oh and congrats to Cesc for scoring his first goal for Barca at his La Liga debut at the Camp Nou. Glad he doesn't have to be a benchwarmer there like some predicted he would be and that he wouldn't be able to break through a star-studded team with the likes of Iniesta and Xavi as competition in midfield. But he is a world-class player and he will step it up a notch playing for Barca now. And what he had to say after winning the UEFA Cup: 'All I can think of now is what AFC has done for my career. Always in my heart.' This is why I will always love you, Cesc. Glad to see you still have Arsenal in you..and like you said,'Once a gunner, Always a gunner.'

Yesterday..
I felt like shit after watching the game. Like what the fucking hell was that? Absolute disgrace to a club of this stature and one that created every piece of negative history that it possibly could. What the shit! Where is my club heading towards? Whats going on?
And I felt like crap. I tried to mug Econs but ofcourse, when your mind is not in it, you jus can't. Discussed the match with a few people and went to bed with a heavy heart.
This jus could NOT be happening. The past 6 months has jus been nighmarish and absolutely painful to be an Arsenal supporter.

Today...
I think I accept the result. Yes, we got our asses kicked. Absolutely embarrassing and completely unnecessary. And no excuse is acceptable. But you know what? We have hit rock bottom. And at this point the only direction to go is upwards. Yes, I am being optimistic..but yet, I have experienced rock bottom myself and I know how it feels. It can't be any worse beyond this. So come on Arsenal! REDEMPTION STARTS FROM THE NEXT GAME. No, I am not talking about trophies or whatsoever. Let's start with winning the next game first. If we start winning games and maintain a decent level of consistency, trophies will come. First, master the basics.

And the Arsenal fans at the game were fantastic..so much so that Arsenal has come forward to give them a free away ticket for a Premier League fixture. Yes, they were amazing. Its bad enough to witness it on telly. Its even worse to witness it LIVE..,in front of thousands of Mancs fan singing GGMU. But yet, they cheered their team on. And they stayed for 20 minutes past the final whistle to cheer their club on. Now, thats the Arsenal spirit. I think I could learn a thing or two from them. And I almost forgot what this club thought me..to NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP and to always BELIEVE.

These are tough times. But let's stand together. And we can overcome this. We can. We ARE Arsenal. And nothing about any other team can beat us. Yes, we have hit a slump and things haven't looked good for us. But let's not give up..and look at the positives and improve from here.

Come on..we can do this! We have lost great players before and we continued with grace. And we will do so this time round as well.
OOH-TO-BE-A-GOONER.
Arsenal forever and always.

What is happening to Arsenal?

I think I have become really sick of (pretending) to ignore every single Arsenal news that comes by. Seriously. It all makes me so depressed. First, Clichy left. Then now there is speculation surrounding other players. And even Wenger mentioned that Cesc feels unsettled and since he is also carrying an injury, he was dropped form the pre-season squad. WTFH. Seriously. I was seriously heartbroken to see Clichy leave okay. He is such an incredible player who remained filial and supportive of Arsenal throughout. And I will always, always respect him for whatever he has done and contributed to the club. He always held Arsenal in his heart. And he let HIM leave? He has been the best LB for Arsenal in YEARS. Okay that idiotic Cole was good. But he wasn't loyal to Arsenal so I am not gonna count him in. Clichy displayed the Arsenal spirit. He always gave his all in games. Yes, his form might have dipped a little last season. But we all know what he is capable of. WE CAN'T JUS LET HIM LEAVE. WHY DIDN'T WENGER LET HIM STAY :( :( :(

And now the talk of Nasri and Cesc is REALLYYYY pissing me off. Okay seriously. Jus because you are gonna be so particular with money you are gonna let 2 of the best players we have got jus LEAVE. Okay I agree and understand why and how Cesc feels unsettled and maybe he might wanna move back to his boyhood club looking at the lack of trophies in comparison to the Catalans who seem to be winning for fun. I MEAN COME ON FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE. LAST SEASON'S LAST FEW MONTHS WERE BEYOND, WELL BEYOND DISMAL. ABYSMAL. HORRIBLE. HORRENDOUS. And the performances weren't even of Arsenal's usual standard. So much for performing so well in the beginning..all for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the end. AT LEAST they could have won the Carling Cup..which we all know what happened in the end. It was such a winnable game..and Arsenal being Arsenal ofcourse knows how to screw up best. Pffftt.
But I do NOT want Cesc or Nasri to leave. THEY CAN'T. THEY. JUST. CAN'T. Please, please keep them. And CESC, ARSENAL MADE YOU WHO YOU ARE TODAY. I KNOW YOU MIGHT HAVE SUPPORTED BARCA SINCE YOU WERE BORN BUT ARSENAL SAW THE TALENT IN YOU BEFORE THEM AND WE, GOONERS, HAVE TRUSTED YOU AND CHEERED YOU ON SINCE YOU WERE 16. And we have always displayed our unwavering loyalty to you. I think the least you can do is to pay us back with a little bit more trust in this club. Besides, its not like you played that well to put the blame on your teammates or the club for the horrendous show the last few months of the campaign last season.

THIS IS SO DEPRESSING.

I really want Arsenal to win okay. I really do. And I really expected more impactful signings. WHY DOES A SCUM CLUB LIKE MAN CITY GET AMAZING PLAYERS LIKE DAVID SILVA AND SERGIO AGUERO WHY WE, ARSENAL, KEEP GOING AFTER 19-YEAR-OLD AMATEURS WHO CAN ONLY JOIN THE YOUTH TEAM FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON?!?!?!?!?!? I mean..okay sign youth players. We need them for the future of this club. But ALSO sign players who can play in the first team and contribute next season. Not jus Gervinho. WE NEED MORE SIGNINGS. ESP IN DEFENCE AND DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD. Alex Song needs a good competitor and a PROPER Defensive Midfielder to back him up and play with Cesc when/if Song is injured. Why? Teams and Barca, City, Manure and Chelski seem to have so many good players who never seem to be like mercenaries and don't seem to leave after a mere couple of seasons! WHY ARSENAL?!??!?!?!? WHY!!!! Ughhhhhh this is really frustratinggggg.

I really don't want a repetition of the past few seasons this new season. But it has become a pattern that...I don't quite know what else to expect. I will NEVER forgive anyone at AFC for letting Gael Clichy go. They should have secured/renewed his contract! And they better do so for Nasri if not I forsee a Flamini-ish situation..:'(
Come on, Arsenal! We have supported you through everything! Give us hope to believe in you. Please, please, please, please don't let us down. We stay up to watch the games, come to support you, spend ridiculous amounts of money on Arsenal merchandise. This club means EVERYTHING to us. Please give us something to look forward to next season.

Haixx..Cesc, I hope you realise that the Emirates is where you trully belong. And its where the people will NEVER stop supporting you and looking up to you. Its here where you became who you are today. This IS where you belong. Clear your head and please realise that Barca didn't see your talents at first. They saw right through you preferring to trust other players. We saw the qualities in you and groomed you from the time you were a mere, scrawny 16-year-old boy. You know you love Arsenal. So don't tell us that our Captain has lost hope in the club we love to death.

Come on, Arsenal!!!!!!!!!!
COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
We are definitely better than this.

Will never forget this game and how I screamed when Fabregas scored. Trully..one of the best. And it was historical. First English team to beat Milan at the San Siro.

Fuck the Barca game..and fuck that stupid ref (yes,I still can't get over that.)
Victory through fucking harmony. Thats Arsenal. Barca can go fuck itself. So can the stupid ref who jus accidentally wore the wrong jersey..cause he should have won the Barca jersey. Would have been apt.

I wanna feel those moments again:
The Invincibles. First team to go unbeaten in the league.
First English team to beat Madrid at the Bernabeau
First London team to reach the Champions Legaue Final
First English team to beat both Inter and AC Milan at the San Siro
Kicking Man U's ass after winning them on penalties at the 2005 FA Cup with Vieira's last kick for Arsenal
Kicking Chelsea's ass and winning them 2-1 on Fabregas' first game as captain in Premier League
Kicking Spurs' ass by beating the crap out of them at White Hart Lane and winning the league there
Fabregas scoring Arsenal's second against Spurs within a matter of seconds
Winning the league at Old Trafford after Wiltord brought Arsenal to victory
The Double-winning seasons
Arsenal 2-1 Barcelona
Kanu's hat trick against Chelsea in 10 minutes
Arshavin's four goals against Liverpool
Winning at Anfield after Arshavin's goal which literally silenced The Kop
First team to reach 10 consecutive games without conceding a goal in Champions League
49 consecutive games without losing in the Premier League
Samir Nasri's double against Man United

Haix. COME ON ARSENAL. I really hope there is still a lot more left to come from this team. Seriously fuck Barcelona. Hope Real Madrid and Mourinho beat the crap out of them in La Liga.

We ARE Arsenal. and We believe. Arsenal forever.

You see, General Sahib, my father slept with his servant’s wife, and she bore him a son named Hassan. Hassan is dead now. That boy sleeping in the other room is Hassan’s son. He’s my nephew. That’s what you tell people when they ask. And one more thing, General Sahib: you will never again refer to him as “a Hazara boy” in my presence. He has a name, and it’s Sohrab.

-Amir, The Kite Runner

'I dream that my son will grow up to be a good person, a free person. I dream that someday you will return to revisit the land of our childhood. I dream that flowers will bloom in the streets again and kites will fly in the skies.'

-Hassan, in a letter to Amir

OMG, epic movie. I didn't think the movie would be as good as the book..but my, the movie was mindblowing and at times, I had to pause the movie to finish crying before watching the next scene. It was a such a poignant story and the way it was portrayed on-screen was really moving. Set against the tumultuous happenings in Afghanistan from the collapse of its monarchy to the Taliban regime, the story focuses on a friendship forged between two boys, Amir and Hassan. Hassan is the less fortunate one..he works as a servant at Amir's father's mansion and Amir and Hassan pretty much grow up together until an act of betrayal by Amir separates them..causing them to never see each other again. Amir didn't betray him intentionally..okay, actually he kinda did..but he didn't mean to. The extreme loyalty and love displayed by Hassan towards Amir kinda scared Amir..and it was a constant reminder of his cowardice and cowardly acts. I mean he didn't even do anything when he witnessed Hassan getting raped by a group of thugs just because Hassan was from a minority Hazara ethnic group. And when the Soviets occupy Afghanistan, Amir and his father move to Pakistan and eventually to the USA. Years later, after Amir has started embarking on a successful writing career where his first book had jus gotten published, he receives a call from a friend of his father's telling him to come back saying, 'There's a way to be good aqain.'

And Amir goes back to Pakistan and learns that Hassan is dead. Hassan had resumed the responsibility of caretaker of Amir's family's property in Afghanistan..and when the Taliban threatened to kill him if he didn't leave the property, they killed him and his wife..and took his son, Shorab. And Amir also learns that Hassan was in fact his half-brother as he was the child born from the extra marital affair his father had with his servant's wife. And so, Amir returns to Kabul, wearing a fake beard..and embarks on a journey to find where Sohrab is.

The movie really encapsulated how things had changed from before the Soviet occupation and the Taliban regime. And the extreme loyalty displayed by Hassan towards Amir is really heartbreaking..especially the way their friendship ended. And the letter Hassan left for Amir..which Amir reads some time after Hassan's death is beyond heartbreaking. And the scene where Sohrab tells Amir that he is glad that his parents aren't around anymore cause he's 'so dirty and full of sin' is really sad..I mean he was jus a kid! And he had been sexually harassed countless times and he was made to dress like a girl and perform for enlightenment. I mean..what did he do to deserve that? HE IS JUS A KID! And all of those experiences leave a deep mark in him..leaving him emotionally traumatised when Amir rescues him. And the last part where Amir tries to bond with Shorab by recollecting his childhood memories with Hassan was really touching. The fact that Amir brought back incidents from Hassan's childhood to Shorab finally made him smile a bit. And it was really sweet how Amir tried to teach Shorab some of Hassan's kite flying tricks. And pledges the same phrase that Hassan did to him years ago, 'For you, a thousand times over.'

WOW, Amazing. The book was truly heartbreaking and extremely moving. And the movie was amazing as well. But I think reading the book gives the reader an entirely different journey. I re-read the book yesterday after watching the movie...and the book's journey through all these events is more of Amir's journey to redemption as he searches for the best version of himself, within himself..and attempts to rectify the mistake that he had made years ago to damage an invaluable friendship. He had been living with traces of guilt and regret for years and his journey to redeem himself by rescuing his childhood friend's kid makes him find a way 'to be good again.'

Anyways, enough about Kite Runner. I feel damn useless..all I did over the weekend was to sit at home and rot. Rot meaning, watch movies and dramas. I managed to catch up with The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill (Yes, I still watch OTH, but selectively)..and I have been watching quite bit of the old episodes from The O.C..and I GIVE UP WATCHING GREY'S ANATOMY. Okay, I wanted to stop when George died but I continued cause Alex/Izzie were still there. But the departure of Izzie..and the way they ended things between Alex and Izzie..was too sad and unbelievable and I almost stopped after that. I mean they portrayed Izzie as a poignant woman..a very emotional one indeed who is very sensitive to others' feelings. What she did to Alex..was too cruel and wasn't explained properly. I mean she left Alex even though he did NOTHING WRONG. Like wtf! But I continued watching and I loved the season 6 finale which was the shooting episode..especially the part where Alex calls out for Izzie and asks for her to come back again. But season 7..OMG..they broke up Mark/Lexie who were the only saving grace left..and Alex is having increasingly minor storylines..like wth! They didn't even show him dealing with Izzie's absence..I mean I bet he is aware of the fact that he still loves her (I mean she was the one he called out for when he was dying)..and they show him being pretty apathetic towards the whole incident. I mean they spent like maybe 2-3 scenes showing him deal with his fear of using the lift where was lying in a pool of blood. BUT THATS ABOUT IT. WTH? No sign of him even thinking back about the impact that Izzie still has on him or whatsoever. OMG. BRING IZZIE BACK. Or at least, bring Mark and Lexie back together. Till then, I am taking a break from Grey's.

Anyways, on a bigger note..CARLING CUP FINAL TONIGHT BETWEEN ARSENAL AND BIRMINGHAM CITY! I really want Arsenal to win! This could (and will) be start of the four trophies that they could possibly win by the end of the season. The Gunners are still very much in every competition and this is the first final that they gonna be playing. The Champs League second leg is coming up next week..and FA Cup replay in midweek..and with ManU bound to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool at Anfield, Chelsea at home and Arsenal at the Emirates..they WILL or at least, they are bound to drop more points and so ARSENAL CAN TAKE OVER THEM!! And eventually win the Premier League. MUAHAHA. Can't wait. It's gonna be a great season! COME ON ARSENAL!! <3

Okay, I shall watch No Strings Attached online now.

Arsenal 2-1 FC Barcelona ;D
This is the best day of my life.

WHAT A MATCH! OMG. It was such a good match. AMAZING. AMAZING. No words to describe it. David Villa put Barcelona ahead on 26 minutes. At first, it seemed as if Arsenal might loose cause van persie kept missing and Barcelona's defence kept it very tight such that it stifled Arsenal's attack. But omg, things changed so much in the second half. JACK WILSHERE, I DECLARE MY LOVE FOR YOU. He is only 19 years old and plays like he has played in more than 200 games for Arsenal. He was phenomenal and I think he played even better than the talismatic Captain Fabregas. He was truly amazing and wasn't shaken by the immensity and the intensity of the atmosphere surrounding him considering the fact that this was THE game that everyone had been waiting for..playing against the team that has been perceived as best in the world by many. He did not diaplay any kind of fear and played like a warrior..like a true champion. He was well and truly amazing. Walcott scared the Barcelona defence every now and then with his blistering pace and the Barca defenders struggled to keep up with him. Fabregas (obviously) produced beautiful passes..and Samir Nasri is well and truly back from his hamstring injury which kept him on the sidelines for a fortnight. Koscielny was AMAZING at the full back position and read Barca's passes well enough to defend them properly. van Persie's goal was..WOW..a moment of magic. HOW THE HELL DID HE SCORE THAT? It was at such an acute angle..it seemed an almost impossible position to score from but van Persie did it! Amazing goal. And 5 minutes later, Samir Nasri assisted Arshavin to score the winner and give Arsenal the advantage over the two-legged last 16 contest. Amazing goal from the Russian. As the commentators usually say, 'From Russia, with love' when Arshavin scores. He had a pretty rough start to the season but he has been improving and is regaining his goalscoring touch once again :D
Arsenal trailed Barcelona for most of the game till Arsenal scored 2 goals over the span of 5 minutes to ascertain victory. It seemed an almost impossible job..but Arsenal did it and proved everyone wrong. Barcelona is not invincible. Yes, they are an amazing team and they have MESSI (who is any opposition player's nightmare) and some of the best midfielders in the world in the likes of Xavi and Iniesta who were part of the core team that helped Spain win their first ever world cup last year. But they are not mistakes-less and they can be beaten. Arsenal proved that. They might not have had the lion's share of possession..but they knew how to get the job done which was the most important thing at the end of the day.

It was one of those matches where you don't wanna go to sleep but continue to stay awake and discuss about it with others and marvel at how amazing those 90 minutes were and how people will remember this game so many years from now on. This was one of those games. Truly amazing comeback from Arsenal. Never been prouder to call myself a Gunner/Gooner :D
I knew I meant it when I said I believed they had the quality and ability to win Barcelona. And they proved me right. I love you, Arsenal!

The return leg at the Nou Camp is gonna be a tough match, no doubt. But Arsenal goes into the match with a lead..not a very comfortable one but its still a one goal lead. Getting an away goal at Barca's home is gonna be crucial..a draw would suffice. But ideally, I would like them to win :D Thomas Vermaelen will be back in the squad by then and provided there aren't any more injuries, Arsenal will be even stronger. And if they play the way they played against Barca at home, impossible in nothing.

Proud to be a Gooner.

I woke up at the middle of the night to watch the match and yes..I looked like a half dead zombie when I went to work the next day. And I had to work overtime till 8pm and I had a piercing headache by the time I reached home. But you know what? It was totally worth it.

Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner,
Victoria Concordia Crescit,

We ARE Arsenal FC <3

FML. Match jus ended. And I only had one question in my mind for the best part of the 90mintes: MESSI, WHY MUST YOU BE SO EFFIN' GOOD?
Okay fine, Arsenal was beaten..well beaten by a side that I finally admit is currently the best in Europe or maybe even in the world. But thats not the kinda feeling you wanna be having..especially when you don't support this team which is perceived to be so much more superior to yours or any other team. No, I am not gonna be a sore loser and say 'Fuck Barcelona' or 'Fuck Messi' or 'I hate Barca' or anything of that sort. Because in actual fact, they were by far the better side. The only thing I was hoping for was for Arsenal to be on par with or better than Barca..and to prove doubters wrong that Arsenal isn't a decimated side as opposed to The Invincibles season when Vieira and Henry were literally the Kings of North London. But..I don't know..I am starting to think that that might be the harsh reality now. I mean..the way Barca played against Arsenal was like the way Arsenal usually plays against any other team while giving them a 'footballing lesson' where they jus show others how the beautiful game is played. However, I guess it is hard..a lot harder when you're at the receiving end of such a 'footballing lesson.'

Why can't Arsenal have players like Messi and beat the shit out opposing teams and be labelled the best side people have ever seen? I mean, isn't that every fan's ideal dream? For their team to be playing great football, providing great entertainment, enjoying remarkable victories and winning trophies? Why is it like..'oh we will do it next season, we will do it next season' for Arsenal's case?

I mean..I guess winning the League is still not impossible for Arsenal..but to see the team you adore win the Champs League is like every fan's dream come true! I mean, Arsenal is a great team..they do have great players with great potential. And I know that they were severely decimated and down to bare bones against Barcelona due to LONGG list of injury. I mean, yea, that is understandable. Barca didn't have so many players out. But..I guess I am jus..I jus wanna see Arsenal lift a trophy! I mean..last time it was like a habit of winnng at least one trophy each season. And I guess the team has sort of evolved since the departures of Vieira, Henry, Bergkamp, Pires and co..and they are playing great. But..wouldn't adding a treble to that greatness make it even greater? Why must Arsenal continue to live in the shadows of other clubs even though they are perceived as one of the best footballing sides in the country/continent/world but yet underestimated due to the lack of consistency? I mean..they do have quality, sure they do..but they have to SHOW it..and do the talking on the pitch. Then people would believe and be convinced the Arsenal of then is back..and Arsenal can trully achieve greatness..and I guess in actual fact when they do display their qualities, they WILL achieve greatness and all this talk of 'we will do it next season' will go away.

When Arsenal took the lead through Bendtner..I was like 'YAY MAN, Now jus maintain the scoreline or add on to it'..but..Messi..he is jus phenomenal talent.
Maybe I am jus lamenting cause I am upset..cause Arsenal really could have made it but it didn't. They had everything to loose and it was in their hands..but they blew it.
Sigh..come on Arsenal. I love you so please..come on! And get back on gear against Spurs this weekend.

Love Me if You Dare ;D ;D

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
I watched this movie yesterday..and I loved it!
It is a light movie..with a very different story..and quite a cute story as well (:
It's a french movie...and it is really really good! It's not like A very long engagement or La Vie en Rose..but it is really good. Marion Cotillard who acted in La Vie en Rose and won Academy Award for Best actress is the female lead in this movie. She is really good man!
A really good movie, so recommended to all (;

West Ham United 1-2 Arsenal ;D

Arsenal was not really good in the first half and they were trailing 1-0 at half time. But I guess the decision to bring on Nasri and Diaby payed off cause they made a difference and Arsenal scored two goals in the second half within the span of 10 minutes to win the game ;D Ramsey and Eduardo scored..and I loved both goals. So Ramsey has scored in like..2 consecutive games ;D And it's good that Eduardo is regaining his usual goalscoring touch ;D

Man U lost to Leeds..YAY!
And Arsenal's playing Stoke away in the next round in FA Cup.

Okay then. Gotta go now.
I love Subway (:

PW sucks seriously. I spent like..a million years working on the stupid written report, where the draft is due TODAY.
Seriously, A WASTE OF MY TIME
FML.FML.
Anyway, I am proud of my group for trying it's best..even though we had a lot of unfinished stuff. We persevered..and we're almost done! Almost..with this draft anyway. Long way to go in improvising it and making it better..but at least we met the deadline, even though it seemed impossible. Impossible is Nothing! No, I don't support Adidas (: ahahha.

Anyway, I am gonna go to school soon. CCA today till 7pm plus. I jus wanna survive the day..One piece. ):

On the brighter side of life,
EVERTON 1-6 ARSENAL :D ;D
CELTIC 0-2 ARSENAL ;D ;D And Arsenal was the FIRST ENGLISH CLUB in 26years to win Celtic at Parkhead. (:
YAY! More to come hopefully (: And I am glad Man U lost to Burnley yesterday. HAHAH,but that doesn't mean anything, does it? It is still the start of the new season anyway..and I hope this will be Arsenal's. Please, please. And the 6-1 tharshing of Everton was really EPIC. (: Fabregas scored twice..maybe he's regaining his goalscoring form of 07/08 (:
Anywayy, hope it keeps getting better.
Man U vs Arsenal next weekend. EPIC ONE.
And Man City vs Arsenal the following week. Weird to be playing against Ade and Toure..especially Toure ):
Anyway, gotta go now.

LEGOLAS!

Hot. Hot. Hot. [:

So I watched Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Ring again yesterday on Channel5 while I waited for kickoff. This is like...the third time I am watching this film. And I still love it! The effects are jus so cool! (: And my favourite character...LEGOLAS! Because Orlando Bloom plays the role (: I realised that Orlando Bloom doesn't act in THAT many movies..but the movies in which he acts are really good and he receives a lot of accolades for them (:

So kickoff..I didn't watch the full match actually. Cause I was just so exhausted...after going for CCA in the morning. BLEH. I started yawning after half-time..not that the match wasn't interesting. Arsenal was playing well..but my eyelids were jus closing. Call it a reflex action. So I watched until like 50th minute then switched off. Well, actually I hate not knowing the score before going to sleep..but I had to this time round. Arshavin made his debut, as promised! And he could have scored like twice within the first fifteen minutes please! Yea..he seemed quite sharp despite the fact that he hasn't played competitive football since last November. So hopefully, more to come from him in the forthcoming matches (: But..anyway..it finished as a goalless draw. Arsenal could have been 4-0 up at the end of the first-half..but they were left to rue their missed chances. van Persie had a FABULOUS opportunity to put Arsenal ahead when Denilson threaded in a through ball for him..but he shot it off target /: Well..I didn't expect that from the Dutch Master..usually he's more precise than that. Well...so a little disappointing on the two dropped points ): It could so easily have been an Arsenal victory ): But on the brighter side, it was a clean sheet..and that suggests that Arsenal's defence is improving. But I am still sad that it wasn't a victory and that I had to settle for a draw ): So hopefully..better luck next time /:

So we have Cross Country this week. I am probably walk throughout /: Sorry, I am a weakling and my running is equivalent to walking..so I might as well walk /: Sucks man...seriously. I was supposed to run today..but I didn't..cause it was raining /: Such a good excuse, right? Akshaya is just extremely lazy.

So Dramazing Race was great yesterday! Quite fun to get to know more people from Acsian theatre (: I think the dance is quite cute. HAHAHA (: And Xiao Yi joined Theatre as well! (: YAY! And the best thing is that both of us are in the SAME section [: [: So we can have fun together for the forthcoming year! (:

Okay..I am super tired already. I have to do Chem, Math and Physics tutorials now. Wish me all the best ):
All rights. Off now! I WANT TO WATCH BENJAMIN BUTTON BADLY! XIAO YI!
And Turkey..if you're reading this..I want to watch He's not that into you as well! Hurry! Set a date!
All rights. Off now.

Arshavin set for debut against Sunderland

Andrey Arshavin is in line to make his Arsenal debut against Sunderland on Saturday.

The Russian midfielder will certainly be involved but, speaking to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday, Arsène Wenger was unsure whether he would start against Ricky Sbragia’s side.

The 27-year-old’s only experience since signing from Zenit St Peterburg came at Tottenham a fortnight ago. He was named on the bench but did not come on.

“He will be involved,” said Wenger. “But I have not decided what I will do with him yet."

Of course, any new signing needs an adaption period in English football. The only question mark over Arshavin is whether he can have a positive influence on Arsenal’s quest for a Champions League spot in the final three months of the season. But, despite being in pre-season training with Zenit when he signed, his physical fitness should not be a problem.

“He is still working on preparation and he is not qualified for the game against Roma so we can give him another week of hard work," said Wenger. "At the end of next week, that will be three weeks with us and one week with Zenit, that should be enough.”

Elsewhere, Emmanuel Eboue is back from suspension and Johan Djourou is fit following his sickness on Monday night.

Abou Diaby (thigh) is not quite ready yet. Mikael Silvestre (thigh), Emmanuel Adebayor, Cesc Fabregas (knee), Theo Walcott (shoulder), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring tendon) are still on the injured list. (hamstring),

Adapted from Arsenal's official website.

I feel more and more depressed after looking at the table...and also at the poll on BPL's official website. WTH, please! I won't blame it on football fans though..it is just the way things seem to be at the moment. It is all because of a really, really poor start. And what..last season was like fabulous compared to this. And after last season, there was all this talk about how this season, Arsenal will do even better and stuff. But it doesn't seem to be that way! Goodness. I hate admitting it but Man United do look 'untouchable' at the moment. UGHHHHHH! I don't think Arsenal will win BPL this season...my mind says that...my heart tells me its not over yet. But for once, I shall not go with my instincts. And I hope I won't be left to dread this entire 09/10 season, after it ends. Because not qualifying for UEFA will mean that there is a possibility of loosing key players...and Arsenal can't afford to do that /:

So hopefully Arshavin will make an impression against Sunderland. And ANOTHER stroke of bad luck...Eduardo pulled his hamstring and is out for two weeks. Great. Fabulous. UGHHHH!

Okay digresssing back to my life. Let me forget about all this irritation...so, we got our timetable today. I am not swimming PE this term. So yea. I only end past four on one day (: So thats a good thing. And I also have ALOT of breaks in between as I DROPPED MOTHER TONGUE! YAYY. And yes, I don't like the mother tongue I took as a subject. I TOTALLY DESPISED IT. YUCKKKSSSSS.

So we had this personality test today. I almost fell asleep..after awhile. Actually, it was interesting. But I was just so drained out..so I fell asleep ): I have Acsian Theatre tmr...CCA 'Orientation' I guess. AHHAHA. A lot of other things happened today as well. As usual, a lot of crazy-ness...a lot of madness...a lot of laughter. But anyway, it is too long to be mentioned here. So basically, to put it in short, Anglo-Chinese Junior College rocks to the maximum (:

I also met Deyi yesterday...just sort of ran into him in the bus. He is in HCI now. OMG. Smart ass! hahahah! It was so weird as I couldn't recognise him at first. It would be so weird to say hi to a stranger anyway. Then I messaged him,'Are you like in the same bus as me?' and then he waved to me. AHAHHA. Was super funny. No wonder...it looked so familiar. And then we went to Bukit Panjang Plaza..where we met PeiJun...after such a long time. Then we went to Popular..then to library..then said goodbye and went back home (: I also ran into Jo yesterday. AHAHAH! So weird to meet people coincidentally so many times in one day, right? /:

Okay..so lessons are starting seriously next week. I will miss Moomba ): ): And it is merely a start to the hectic schedule I have ahead of me. So, wish me all the best (: HAHAA. So now, I have to start doing all my tutorials. Chem tutorial is like...SUPER LONG. Eighteen long, long questions! ): ): So yea...wish me all the best for that, too (: HAHAH. And wish Arsenal all the best for their next match. MUST BUCK UP!!! Okay..sorry, but I promise I will post the V day messages the next post!

All right. Gonna end it here. BUH-BYEE!

Zenit boss Advocaat admits Andrei Arshavin's move to Arsenal is almost a done deal

Andrei Arshavin's transfer to Arsenal is almost a done deal, Zenit St Petersburg boss Dick Advocaat has confirmed.

Arshavin held talks on Sunday with Advocaat and Zenit president Alexander Dyukov and was told the club are ready to accept an improved offer from the Gunners.

Arsenal's opening bid may have been as low as £8million, but Sportsmail understands they are prepared to go as high as £15m.

'Negotiations with Arsenal continue and the chances are very high that Arshavin will soon play in the English Premier League,' said Dutchman Advocaat.

Representatives of Arsenal are expected to meet Zenit officials on Tuesday to hammer out final details of the agreement.

Arshavin, meanwhile, stepped back from his threat to go on strike if he was not allowed to leave Zenit. He flew to Dubai on a pre-season tour for the Russian club.

Unless there is a last minute hitch, it is expected he will fly from Dubai to London later this week to join up with his new team-mates.

Adapted from Dailymail

All right. So they have actually been saying that the deal will be finalised on Tuesday. And it is Tuesday today. AHAHHA. So..maybe he might get a chance to play in Arsenal's next match, which is in FA Cup against Cardiff City? HAHA. But I am more interested on how he would adapt (if he comes, that is. And hopefully he will). So, we will see what happens (: I go to NewsNow and majority of the articles talk about Arshavin's move to Arsenal being imminent and to be finalised in a matter of days/hours. So, we will see. Nothing can be totally believed until I see the news on Arsenal.com, officially announcing him as an Arsenal player (:

Another article now (:

Nasri thanks Wenger for meningitis support

Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri admits he owes everything to Arsene Wenger for helping him through his meningitis scare last season. The French ace admits he will never forget the way Wenger assessed his recovery and was still determined to bring him to Arsenal during the summer."I was very surprised but I met the manager who told me he had been following my recovery before I came to the club and that helped me through my illness," Nasri told Arsenal TV. "When I had my meningitis it just showed me what a gentleman that Arsene Wenger is.

"I had to work hard to come back, but it was an experience which has made me stronger."

Nasri, who signed for the Gunners in a £13million deal last summer, is determined to repay Wenger and fire the Gunners back into the title race.

"We talk among ourselves about the title - we have made mistakes but if we go on a run we are sure we can make up the difference," he added.

Adapted from Sport.co.uk

Actually, ArsenalTV Online posted the video of that interview if Nasri's..and it talks about his 'battle with Meningitis' when he was diagnosed with Meningitis. Thats quite sad actually..cause the Sec4 Bio Textbook states that it is actually kind of a serious disease..well anyway, he has recovered from it (: And it is kind of nice to see him being filial towards Wenger for helping him (:Sammyyyyyy. [:

The last article for this post.

Rosicky optimistic of return
Gunners ace hopeful first-team return just around the corner

Arsenal's long-term injury victim Tomas Rosicky is hopeful that he will be able to confirm his first-team return in the near future.

The Czech Republic international has now spent just over a year on the sidelines after being unable to shake off a problematic hamstring injury.

Rosicky has revealed one of his main problems is battling to overcome the mental issues that come with watching his colleagues in action from the sidelines.

The former Borussia Dortmund ace respects The Gunners' decision to stay quiet on his injury, although he believes he may soon be able to reveal just exactly when he will make his return to action.

State of mind

"Everyone surely knows that I am not in my ideal state of mind, the one I used to be in when was in Arsenal's starting line-up two or three times a week," he told his own website.

"Now I am playing a different game. I have been working hard every single day and want to be back soon. I need to be patient.

"I have to respect Arsenal management's decision not to comment on my state of health, as it's their choice and they have been doing their maximum to have me back in action.

"I am not the first or the last football player who has been sidelined for a year.

"I am looking forward to when I will be able to say to the fans 'I am fit and going to play at the weekend'. I believe it will not be a long wait."

Adapted from Sky Sports

Well..I really miss seeing him play. Like really. I guess he has been pretty unlucky with injuries. And this injury which he sustained like almost a year ago now, was pretty unfortunate. Well anyway, I just hope he comes back soon. Cause I feel that he is a really good winger and he can contribute a lot to Arsenal in matches. Get well soon (:

And Eduardo is back, training! So it is all about match fitness now. WHEEEE! After that HORRIFIC injury he sustained, it will be really great to have him back. I rate him highly as a player..and it will be great to have him back at this time of the season (: But I don't know if he would be at the top of his game though. I mean, I read that he scored a hat-trick during one of the recent training sessions. So that is a good sign. But I hope he can adapt to the physicallity of games as soon as possible (:

All right. Digressing back to my life (:

Went back to St.Margs to help out with some stuff. I had fun though (: Then went to Orchard to watch movie with Tharshini, Dhanya, Kiru and Shalini. We watched The Passengers. I thought it would be a really good movie..I mean that was what I heard from the reviews. However, I didn't find it that good. I mean, the direction and the cast were really good. But I didn't like the story. It was a thriller based on a plane crash, basically. But the so-called twist was not one that I expected or liked. I mean..I really thought it was a thriller based on how the airlines authority will try to silence the truth about the plane crash..so it goes after the people who know the truth. So I expected it to be like..how the protagonist escapes trouble and brings the truth to light. But that was not the story AT ALL. The protagonist(Anne Hathaway) is actually dead..and the whole movie was about how she finds out about the fact that she is dead. Okay, that might sound absolutely stupid when you hear it in one line..but when you watch the movie I think it doesn't sound that stupid. But still, I think I would have liked it more if it had more action and story to it ): Oh well, it you want, you can try watching it. But I can't guarantee anything..I think some might like it, some might not. I didn't really like it..so yea (:

I went to exercise in the gym this morning with Kiru and Shalini. And I am tired to the maximum now. Seriously. Maybe my stamina is improving..but really..one hour of gym just drains out all the energy in my body ): And the worst thing was that we ran to catch the bus after gym /: But I hope at the end of the day, it is worth it (:

Okay..I am feeling super sleepy now but I am determined not to sleep. I am sleeping way too much! Seriously! I should spend my time more wisely. And I mean..after JC starts, I will barely have time to breathe..okay that was an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. So I guess this is my time to read and to WATCH DRAMAS. HAHAH. That reminds me..there is 90210 tonight (: HAHAH.

All right. I think I shall end my post here. TIRED TIRED TIRED.

Okays then..BUH-BYEE!
