Once a Gunner, always a Gunner,
Victoria Concordia Crescit,
Henry: I Believe In Arsenal Barcelona and ex-Arsenal striker Thierry Henry says he has every faith that the Gunners will win this year's Premier League
He may be based in Catalonia now, but Henry says a part of him will forever be Arsenal, admitting he still keeps a close eye on all the activities at the Emirates. The Frenchman keeps regular contact with many Gunners stars and says he's convinced Arsene Wenger's men will finish this season as champions of England. Winning Feeling “I have this feeling Arsenal will win the Premier League," Henry, who left the Gunners for Barcelona last summer, told The Sun. "They are playing well against the big four and I do think they play the most attractive football, though Manchester United have also played some good stuff. "So far, Arsenal have lost only one game and, if they remain unbeaten from now on, it would be very unusual not to win the title. Obviously, I love Arsenal," he continued. "But that’s not the reason why I think they will win the title. I just feel they have the quality. Still A Fan "I still follow their results, every game," the France international revealed. "Last Saturday, every five minutes against Middlesbrough, I was texting somebody to find out what was happening. I watch them every game possible and I wish them good luck. I still have something in my heart for Arsenal. I speak to (Emmanuel) Ade(bayor), William Gallas, Gael Clichy and Cesc (Fabregas). I have also spoken to Gilberto a couple of times. "They have played beautiful football this season and deserve to win something," Henry noted. "It would be brilliant. But no one thought they would drop points against Birmingham, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wigan. They have been doing brilliantly against the big teams. Big Four Clashes "Maybe, it is a good time to play Chelsea," he added, before recalling his memories of games against the Blues. "Playing Chelsea was always special for me. No disrespect to any other team but when you play Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United and you are in the final 10 minutes, you somehow find extra power. At this stage of the season, I actually think it is better to play the bigger teams. It is a big month for Arsenal but I think that they can do it.” Adebayor And Fabregas Speaking about individual Gunners players, Henry expressed his delight that striker Adebayor has finally come good. The Togolese had a less than electric start to his career in English football but is now one of the most feared strikers in the league having smashed home 23 goals this season. Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas has been a revelation in midfield. "When Ade arrived at Arsenal, I thought he would be a good signing," said Henry, who, like Adebayor, first made a name for himself at Monaco. "Unfortunately, at the beginning, people were giving him stick. Now he is scoring and proving everyone wrong. When I left, I said ‘You are capable of more than 30 goals every season if you want’. Ade is one of the best strikers in Europe. "As for Cesc, he is playing amazingly well. When he is in tune, like in Milan, Arsenal are in tune. He is the heart of the team. Cesc is already up there among the best players in the world.” ADAPTED FROM http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=630802 I will always respect Henry man. Regardless of what, he's still an Arsenal legend. oh yea! Arsenal is getting back its form! ;D some great results recently, including International friendlies ;D spain won italy 1-0 (: Villa scored (: It was a GREAT match. I watched the encore (: Spain's passing game was scintillating ;D arsenal won bolton 3-2 (: OMG. I think its one of the BEST EVER comebacks made by Arsenal. They were down to ten men by like 30mins and trailing by 2 goals at half-time. I really thought that they might loose. But of course, one should NEVER EVER loose hope (: They won the match after scoring 3 SECOND HALF GOALS ;D Gallas, van Persie and a deflected shot in by Fabregas (: That made the day for Arsenal. (: (: THE TV PUNDIT FOR THAT MATCH SUCKS. He claimed that Arsenal "were a bunch of young lads who jus enjoy their football but Man United are a bunch of men who play football according to a system and so Man United will be successful". WHAT THE F.HELL?! I dont care what they have to say man. Probably they are just JEALOUS that Arsenal is playing better and more consistently than they have for the past two seasons. I believe in them. I will always believe them (: Always and always, Arsenal gooner forever (: (: <3
