I wish I can be like Simon from Misfits. You know when you are filled with regret, you have the power to become invisible. I wish I can have that sometimes. Just this feeling that you need to be alone from everyone and everything else to clear your head.
Anyway, I accepted NTU's offer..after thinking and talking to wonderful people in my life who have guided me in so many ways. So yay! NTU, here I come! At least I know quite a number of people going there :D Hope my 4 years will be great ;D I am a bit intimidated by the thought of university.
I have jus been drowning myself with The OC, Misfits, Grey's Anatomy and Pretty Little Liars. Nice. I am really becoming a couch potato. And I need to exercise. Must. But somehow, I can't gather the motivation to do so. Sadface. And I suddenly miss One Tree Hill a lot. Can't really believe the last season is gonna be starting in a couple of months. But okay, I admit they kinda have to end it. I mean it has been going on for like uh..8 seasons? And its not as good as it used to be..But its still that nostalgic feeling. When you see it ending the beginning seasons flash through your mind and you start to reminiscence all of the older seasons. Haix..I miss OTH Seasons 1-4 ):
And I am listening to Justin Bieber's 'Overboard' now. I am neither a Bieber hater nor a Bieber-obsessed fan. But it's a nice song-Period.
And The Script's new album is beyond amazing. :O
And I realised I haven't blogged about Arsenal for quite some time. What can I say? I really thought and to some extent this belief made me to think that it would really happen..the fact that they would win SOMETHING this season. And the slump started with the dismal Carling Cup performance. Okay maybe not dismal..but an error that cost us the Carling Cup and subsequently Arsenal went from being in 4 competitions to NONE within a span of a few weeks. I am tired of them repeating this stint EVERY SEASON. CONSISTENCY-master it. Then we can talk about titles and beat Man-Fucking-U. Easier said than done, ofcourse. But now its in Wenger's hands to bring in reinforcements or train the lads to be better prepared for the next season. Better prepared such that they not only put up a fight till February of the season but throughout the ENTIRE season. And he can start by renewing Nasri's and Clichy's contracts. Ofcourse they will demand for a pay rise..Fabregas and van Persie earn like 200k per week...and these two play almost as well or even better than the talismanic captain and vice-captain. But I think keeping them and issuing them new contracts is key..the foundation sorta thing. THEN, WENGER PLEASE BUY. Don't need to splash the cash and pay exorbitant sums of money like the Galacticos did last season. BUT REASONABLY..and bring in players of quality who will perform week in week out. ARSENAL NEEDS THAT. They cannot rely on this group of players every game to perform. And Arsenal needs IMPACT, POWER substitutes to come up with a moment of magic or smthg of that sort when they are not playing well.
Arsenal is the best footballing side in the country and maybe even in the world..with the only other club to compete for this title being Barca. But thats not enough to win titles. Yes, play the beautiful football week in week out. BUT ENSURE YOU SCORE AND BRING HOME THREE POINTS. Ofcourse, there will be slip-ups. Thats inevitable. It's not possible to repeat The Invincibles' feat every season. But don't loose or draw excessively. AND DON'T LET MOMENTS OF STUPIDITY MAKE YOU LOOSE POINTS UNNECESSARILY. This has happened too many times this season with Arsenal. But factors like referee's biasness..we can't control that. But we are Arsenal. We can play well despite the fact that we have crazily young crop of players who haven't even reached their prime. We have quality no doubt. BUT MUST PRODUCE. Must win trophies. Thats the thing that is lacking. With a more mature mentality and greater consistency, Arsenal will be VERY tough to beat, mark my words. But they need to get there. And this talk of 'Next season' is obviously tiring Gunners' fans. No more next season. Let's win. And let's win it now. IT'S UP FOR GRABS NOW, remember?
Arsenal has had AMAZING games this season. They played FREAKING well against Man United to win them 1-0 at home. And really glad that Ramsey's making a great comeback, capping off his performance with a goal. And I love Jack Wilshere..that kid (Okay I shouldn't be calling him kid cause he's kinda my age but oh wells..comparing his age to other footballers, he is a kid) has so much heart and he gives so much to the team. But I don't think he has the influence that Cesc has on the team. PLEASE KEEP CESC. Don't let him go, not yet at least. HIS TIME HERE ISN'T OVER. And it can be seen so clearly. We definitely lack that extra bit..that extra essence of creativity when he is not around. He is influential. He is a talismanic figure. He is our CAPTAIN. No, he can't leave. He didn't have a good season mostly because he didn't have a proper pre-season after coming back late after completing the entire WC Campaign with Espana. With a proper pre-season, I am sure he will be a lot better. But this season, Wilshere, Nasri and even van Persie (despite the fact that he was out for a significant part of the beginning of the season due to injury) have out shined Cesc. Nasri was class till Christmas. If only he had carried on that form till the end..the end product might have been different. But at the same time, its hard to predict these kinda things.
Well..they need to be more consistent. And fight HARDER. Have more heart. Not that I am saying they don't have the hunger to win. Wenger's famous word-HUNGER. But they have to show it more on the pitch. NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE. We used to be the masters of that. BRING THAT ATTITUDE BACK. Be proud to represent this club. Play your heart out and throw everything you have out there and do the talking on the pitch. VICTORY THROUGH HARMONY, PEOPLE!
If only we do that..come next May..everyone will be talking about Arsenal.
COME ON ARSENAL. One club. One destiny. One heart. One Arsenal.
