Okays..so I haven't updated in a while so here I am. Anyway, nothing much has happened. Except that Spain has qualified from the Group Stage to Round of 16 where they'll play Portugal on Wednesday night. Hopefully they can own the shit out of the Cristiano Ronaldo..and that would make me so happy and lift my gloomy mood (sorry for wrong use of expression.)
Anyway..Germany owned England. Was quite an exciting match actually. England almost equalised except that Lampard's goal was (wrongly) disallowed. But Germany scored 4 fabulous games..and I think they had the slight edge over England even though the scoreline might be a little too flattering for Germany. Klose, Podolski and Muller scored with Muller scoring two in the space of a few minutes. I think Germany will go far in the competition. And I like Phillipp Lahm :D ahhaha.

Anyway, back to Spain. Thankfully Iniesta is back from injury. And hopefully Cesc Fabregas will start against Portugal!! David Villa has been in red-hot form. But..I don't think they've been playing as well as they did in the Euros where they totally owned their opposition in every match. But oh well, let's jus hope Espana will go far in the competition. If they beat Portugal, they'd face either Paraguay or Japan in the Quarter Finals. And Germany vs Argentina and Netherlands vs Brazil/Chile in Quarter finals as well. Exciting stuff.

But I jus can't stand one thing: FC BARCELONA.
Okay make no mistake..I love the way they play..I think they have amazing players, a really good coach and I like watching them play. But I just really don't understand their approach towards the whole Fabregas transfer saga thing. I mean..Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have mentioned a few times now that CESC IS FREAKING NOT FOR SALE. Is that that hard to comprehend for the board of FCB? Even if they are gonna pursue him, they are NOT gonna get him. Because Arsenal CLEARLY mentioned that he is not for sale at ANY price..even if FCB try to lure him away with really high and attractive salary. I mean if it was ever about money, Cesc would have left A LONG TIME AGO. So pleace, FC BARCELONA...maybe he might be a Barca player in the future. That is a real possibility. But right now, he is a Gunner and he is Arsenal's. So jus BACK OFF.

Anyway, I jus wanna post this video. The Euro 2008 Quarter final match's penalty shoot out. (Spain vs Italy)

I remember it was such an amazing match. And it was on the morning of the day school reopened after holidays. And I stayed up to watch the match. And when the penalty shoot out was going on, I remember I was having my breakfast. And I was screaming like some mad woman for every save that Casillas made, for every penalty Spain scored and for every penalty Italy missed. And when Cesc stepped up to take that penalty and scored and sent Spain to Semis..I think I jus went crazy. Like literally. I was jus so happy..and I remember the adrenaline rush from watching that match enabled me to stay awake through ALL the lessons that day. I was that happy. Hopefully something great like that would happen with Cesc and Arsenal together :D
And I remember after winning the Euros..Cesc dedicated his triumph in the competition and the win to Arsenal and the Arsenal fans. He said that he wouldn't be there without Arsenal and that he wants to win a major trophy with Arsenal. And I remember how much I adored him for saying that. I mean even in your triumph with your country, you still remembered to thank the club that believed in you! I mean..take about how filial he is. Even if he might/does eventually leave, I bet he will be remembered as one of Arsenal's legends.
Thats the reason why I love Cesc Fabregas and thats why he will ALWAYS be my favourite player <3
Okay a bit to cheesy and corny..but whatever.
Anyway, I should get back too studying/doing homework. Prelims in a few weeks and I am starting to feel the pressure and the urgency. STUDY HARD. STUDY HARD. AND DO WELL!

Victoria Concordia Crescit,
