Okay, so you're wondering why I just kind of spammed this post with pictures from a movie that you probably would have not heard about, right? All right. Let me explain.
The movie is 'A very long engagement'. It is a French movie..and it was nominated for Oscars(under the Best Foreign Film category) and a few other awards. I remember Shali mentioning this movie to me sometime during the Olevel period, saying that she was watching the movie as a stress relief. But at that time I didn't really bother to go and find out more about the movie. Recently, I was watching Okto and they were playing all the foreign language films that won/were nominated for Oscars and this movie just sort of came to my mind. And while I was watching Cold Mountain over the holidays (again), I was thinking, why not try watching this movie as well. I realised that I seem to like war-time love stories. So, I gave this movie a shot. And OMG...I thank Shali for 'introducing' me to this movie.

It bears some vague similarities to Cold Mountain..but it is unique in its own way. And I cried for like a number of parts..especially the ending when he goes 'Does it hurt when you walk?" OMG! ): ): Okay, now you're lost about what I'm talking about right?
This movie is basically about these two people who are childhood sweethearts. They have kind of been together since they were really young. And the girl, Mathilde, is disabled in the sense that she can't really walk properly. And when they first met when they were really young, the first thing that Manech,the guy, asked her was 'Does it hurt when you walk?' And basically, they grow up together. And a war comes along and Manech goes to fight. During the war, he witnessed a bomb exploding and exposing his friend's/fellow soldier's organs..like intestines etc. Like a really disgusting sight. And that causes him to loose his mind..since he has never witnessed such gruesome stuff before. And while he's away, a lot of people tell Mathilde that he wouldn't come back. But she believes that if he's dead, she'd know cause of the love they share/have shared since young. And basically, she goes on a 'journey' to find him and eventually finds him. However, he doesn't know her and doesn't remember anything from the past. And when he meets her (again), he goes like 'Does it hurt when you walk?'

OMG. It was heartbreaking! Try watching the movie, it is REALLY worth it! I am not kidding! The ending was a little less heartbreaking than that of Cold Mountain's where Jude Law dies in the ending ): But sad enough to make me cry ): The way the movie was filmed is truly amazing. TRY WATCHING IT! I think this is the best French movie I have watched since Les Choristes and La Vie En Rose. (: Maybe I should try watching more French movies (: HAHAHA!

And now, to football.
The Hull City manager, Phil Brown, is getting on my nerves. What on earth please? He goes on and on about this stupid spitting incident which never occurred! Seriously! Cesc Fabregas is not that kind of guy! We all know it..so please, get a life! And there is no proof of his nonsensical accusations..so get lost, seriously!
Okay now, Spain won Turkey 1-0! I didn't watch the match..so anyway, I'm happy that Spain won! (:
And it was kind of saddening that there isn't any Arsenal match this week):
CCA yesterday was....super tiring! When all of this gets done and over with, I am seriously gonna learn how to value my Saturdays! Theatre week is in one week! Oh no. Oh no.

Okays anyway. I gotta go. I wonder why my brain is functioning more slowly nowadays. More and more people are calling me 'blur' or 'blur block'. ): That is why my Facebook message is 'Akshaya is lost in LALA land.' And some people eh...linked it to totally irrelevant stuff! Like....okay nevermind (: I am not laughing!

All right. I gotta go and start studying for my tests and start finishing my homework. That is a lot of work.

Newcastle United 1-3 Arsenal ;D

NEW HAIRSTYLE! (: (:

WOOHOOO! 3 goals within ten minutes grants Arsenal all three points ;D Bendtner, Diaby and NASRI scored (: Well, Newcastle equalised almost immediately after Arsenal scored the first goal. But anyway, Arsenal scored two more to make it a comprehensive victory ;D Honestly, I thought Arsenal didn't play that well in the first half. Almunia saved a penalty that he conceded in the first half. Anyway, Martins didn't take the penalty properly. That made it easier for Almunia to save the penalty. So good night overall. Besides, Man United and Chelsea also lost to Fulham and The Spuds respectively. So thats good (:

All rights. I have had barely anytime to use the computer for my own purposes. I have been using the computer for reasearch and projects. And I feel super super tired ): ): And I am having a lot of homework to do..and tutorials..and lectures. WOAH.

We are doing bonding for Chemistry now. ROCKS MANN! I have always loved bonding. Well, it is much more in depth now (obviously), but I am still enjoying it (: Physics is getting more and more complicated. Oh well..I have to become 'gwai' and start revising every day already. If not, I'm afraid I might not be able to cope. Besides, with Theatre Week coming up..and the dates for The Odyssey nearing, it is gonna be super tough. I have CCA every day next week, except for Tuesday. And next Saturday, I have CCA from 9am to 9pm. WOAH. Hahah. But I guess, it will all be worth it in the end (: So I shall try my best and give my best! (: So everyone, come to watch 'The Odyssey' please!

Anyway, I realised that I have been laughing a lot recently. Every day, I never fail to laugh until my stomach aches. Hahah. That is a consequence of sitting beside MA MAY MOE THU! Hahahaha! Sarah didn't come to school today! ): All the best for competition, Sarah! (:

Jum and Farhanna told me about the toilet bowl story. And the worst thing was that Jum told it to me like it was some super scary ghost story and she literally made me scream! ): ): But it is still freaky. I am now suffering from a temporary paranoia of going to the toilet.

We're going to Wembley, baby!

Okay. Hull City went ahead first after Barmby put them ahead from a shot that was deflected in by Djourou. But then van Persie equalised in the 74th minute. Then Gallas scored the winner from a Samir Nasri free-kick on the 84th minute. There was a bit of controversy for the second goal as the second goal WAS offside..but who cares man? It is about time Arsenal gets a bit of luck! hahaha!

P.S.: Look at the height difference between Arshavin and Adebayor!

However, we still haven't really finished it ): But hopefully we will..by tomorrow (: But I think yesterday was not bad..even though it was SUPERRR tiring. But I guess it was not too bad in the end..when you look back and what you had accomplished over the HOURS of hard work (:

Okay..now I shall blog about the Arsenal match(es). I AM HIGH NOW.
I decided to not really WRITE about the matches..but just mainly post pictures..And I have a lot of pictures from both matches. (:

Arsenal won AS Roma 7-6 on penalties! ;D

Okay..I just spammed this post with Arsenal pictures. HAHAHA. But anyway, the point is that I am actually believing and hoping now. Okay, I watched the encore of the Roma match..and truly, it was actually quite shitty..but I was glad that Arsenal actually had the nerves to hold on and restricting Roma to a one-goal lead..and eventually killing them off in the penalties. Recall the FA Cup final against Man United people..it was a similar scenario (:
The Blackburn encounter was a totally different story..Arsenal was playing super well. Arshavin forced an error from Ooijer at 1.5minutes and Arsenal are ahead. Woah..at one point of time, Arsenal was struggling for goals..and now, it seems to be coming. Arshavin scores his first goal for the club and Eboue scores two and Arsenal win the game. Great game to watch...and I am looking forward to similar ones in the future (: I am actually starting to hope and believe now. LOL.

Okay..nothing much now. I feel like my life is so, so deprived. Sad man. SUCKS.
I have a whole load of homework left..so I shall be 'gwai' and start them now so that I wouldn't be bombarded with homework towards the end of the holidays.

Okays..off now. I miss my clique from St.Margs..I truly do. But choices always come with consequences right. I chose not to go to AJC and I did..and the result: When I actually see the rest of them being together, I feel so..left out. Maybe be it is because of jealousy..I don't know. Maybe I should be thinking more maturely about this whole thing..and let myself completely accept the fact that ignorance and distance will be part and parcel of this. I can't expect them to be talking to me every day and expect them to remember me as much right? But maybe..deep down I feel like I expect that to happen. Even though my mind tells me to think practically about this situation, my heart is not giving in.
But one thing is for sure..I am truly happy at ACJC..it is totally the kind of environment I would want to be surrounded by..but I just wish I had my closest friends with me during these times of happiness here. You have no idea how much I miss them whenever I think about the good (and bad) times we had.
Sad. Oh well, I shall just cherish the times we had together and wish that there will be more to come. And perhaps wait for that one day when we will all be able to meet each other.

Arsenal 3-0 Burnley

YAY. Eduardo is back (again)! And so is Walcott! YAYNESS.
Arsenal played really, really well. A number of key players didn't start the game..probably because a crucial clash against Roma at Rome was coming up. But regardless, great job. Seriously. I loved Eduardo's goal. He just makes it seem so easy even though he hasn't played football in MONTHS. And I watched the entire match even though it was a Sunday night! (: (: It was totally worth it, though! Gibbs is not bad, I think. But I still prefer GAEL CLICHY (:
And so Arsenal is through to Quarter Finals in FA Cup now..and it is against Hull City at home in Quarter Finals. And if Arsenal get through, it will be a Arsenal vs Chelsea London derby in the Semis. Ooh..that will be cool! (:

So, Toure is fit for the game against Roma at Rome (Stadio Olympico). Arsenal has warned fans not to go alone..I guess it was due to that Rome derby where a Lazio fan was accidentally shot by the police. Maybe thats why Arsenal is concerned about its fans' safety? That makes sense anyway..you don't want blood spilling around in a ground where you watch football and just truly enjoy yourself (:
And besides, this season's Champions' League final is at Stadio Olympico. Fingers crossed! (:

So anyway, I laughed a lot. I am really liking my class now. Elaborate explanations of each day not required (: Cause I am lazy to post everything here. AHAHHAHA.

So went for ACSian Theatre yesterday..I was late by half an hour ): ):
But anyway, it was fun (:
So after that I went home and crashed onto the bed. And I slept for some 5hours. HAHHA!
Then after that I managed to do a bit of Chem and Math homework. Then I watched 'The Hills'..I don't really like the show but anyway, it was just a time pass. I also watched 'Flightplan' on Channel5 (:
And Dad installed MioTv yesterday ;D It is so cool! I can watch movies for free! So, I watched Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian! CASPAINNNNNNN! (: (: (: (:
But I think Starhub+MioTv is a super good combination cause you really get very very nice channels (: But I still prefer Starhub cause I get the Arsenal matches there (: But now, I can watch Serie A matches for FREE! (: (: But Champions' League matches will also be telecasted on MioTv from next season onwards. So if I have MioTv until then, then I can continue watching all Arsenal matches! (Provided qualification to UEFA is confirmed)

So there is a match tonight. Against Burnley at home. So, let's see what happens anyway (: Fabregas is back in training! YAYYYYYYY! YAYYYYY! HAHAHHA! And and..Walcott and Eduardo might be playing tonight! (: (: So..positive stuff. I missed Walcott! Anyway, we shall see how it turns out anyway. Channel24, 9pm (:

Anyway..I am determined to find the VCD for Cold Mountain! I managed to get VCD for Eagle Eye and I want to buy A very long Engagement as well (: (: And I am planning on getting Sweeney Todd..cause all these movies are on a seven dollar offer in the CD shop near my house (: So, great stuff (:

I have a lot of homework to finish up ): I did a little bit yesterday. And I think I HAVE to study..but I haven't been doing that. How? I wanna slack! But that is so not possible..
Plus, the Alevel results got released yesterday. My mother told me that AC had the most number of A's in SIngapore after RJC. And I am like 'WOAH'. She heard that from the news so I'm assuming its true. But seriously..that is like super good la! And I walked past the hall and I just looked at the stage and it was FULL of students who apparently got like 6As/Distinctions or something like that. Jazreel said that she was motivated after seeing that. I will see you there on stage next year, Jaz! (: And Steph..Don't be so disappointed! I am sure you'll get As for the rest ;D CHEER UP!

So..nothing much. That is supposed to motivate me to do even better. But I am such a lazy person that the next moment after some motivation, I turn back to becoming a lazy person ): Okay, I shall tryyyyyy. (:
